There are eight parties in the Swedish Riksdag, all represented by experienced and hard-working politicians. Surely everyone should be able to find a party among them that suits them? Probably. But what troubles us is the political conversation itself: the harsh tone and the pessimism, as though we did not belong together and were not already achieving many good things together.
That is why we decided to raise our voices, in a friendly and optimistic tone. We also decided to listen carefully, because a good conversation requires us to listen more than we speak, at least when there are more than two people involved. We believe that a constructive and optimistic political conversation is the way forward.
Our starting point is neither right nor left, neither impending disaster nor a belief in the good old days.
