Starting points

Kompass believes that Sweden is built every day by those of us who live and work here. The building blocks are dreams and work. We build together.

Growth, work and taxation

Economic growth matters, but longevity and health matter even more.

It should pay to work, but we must share too.

It is we who must pay taxes, not someone else.

Raising taxes cannot solve every new challenge.

Our shared challenges are growing in healthcare, education, infrastructure and security. The room for tax cuts is limited.

Taxes should be easy to understand, hard to avoid, and cause minimal economic distortion. There should be few tax rates and exemptions.

Planning and security

The future will always surprise us. That is why initiative, unity, and resolve matter more than elaborate plans.

We build Sweden’s security together with our friends and allies, in the European Union and NATO.

From the 2008 financial crisis and the pandemic to Russian aggression, Trump’s threats against Greenland and NATO, and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence — these are challenges we must face together with our friends and allies.

Europe and immigration

Together with our neighbours and the rest of Europe, we are unstoppable.

Immigrants built yesterday’s Sweden, and without immigration today’s Sweden stagnates.

Non-Swedish citizens can play a larger role in Swedish politics and take up more seats in municipal and regional assemblies.

Non-Swedish citizens can contribute more to Sweden’s defence. The voluntary defence organisations and the Home Guard should offer clear paths for non-Swedish citizens.
